How To Find Mods/CC
Just about the most depressing part about broken mods (besides them fucking up your game) is trying to find the suspect.
To make your lives easier this application can help you find what is buggin' up your game quick and easy: The Tray Importer shows you all of the saved sims and lots in your library and every single piece of CC attached to them. This can be used to import and export sims/lots and put them up for download with the mods you used. Not only can it be used to share sims, but also to find bad mods/cc.

How To Update Mods/CC
As you add on DLCs & your game continues to require updates, so will your mods.
To do that, you need Sims4Studio. You have to signup/login to download it. The links are always updated for every update and every DLC, so check back frequently to download the new one. Every time Sims4Studio is updated, you need to uninstall the old version and install the new version.
Candy Apple is Mac
*DISCLAIMER* Some CC/Mods cannot be updated & might break. This program only has the ability to update Objects and Create-A-Sim items such as tables, clothing, makeup, and accessories. Scripted Mods like MCController can't be updated with this program, it can only be updated by its creator.
Updating Mods is very simple. Open the latest compatible version of Sims4Studio for your game. Click "Content Management" then "Batch Fixes." From there you can choose CAS or Objects to fix.

I recommend that you update all mods before you put them in your game, because you don't know when it was created and people who upload clothing & furniture mods do not update them. So it's safer to do so unless the creator told you otherwise. By doing this, you can prevent scary surprises.
Tips
Now that you know how to handle mods, here's some additional tips.
- Custom Music can be put in game, but they have to be .mp3 files.
- You can use Sims4Studio to create recolors and other content.
- Make sure that Mods and Scripted Mods are enabled in "Options"
- Use the TSR skipper and AD.fly skipper from the google chrome store to skip wait times and dodge pesky adware.
- Dig as much as you can find a piece of CC, and don't be afraid to contact the creator or someone else to help you find it, most simblrs have a "Where Can I Find" tab (WCIF) on their blogs.
- Simfileshare is a great place to save and upload CC for download, It's safe, quick, there is no limited amount of space.
- Backup all of your game's saves, tray, & Mods folders to a separate place on your computer and keep them updated, in case a mod goes rouge and decides to corrupt the files around it.
Welp.
That is all I have for today. Happy Simming! <3
