Keeping Your Personal Tray, Mods, & Saves Files Separate
When attempting to play the ts4multiplayer mod, there a few things you need to do to make sure the game runs smoothly when playing with your friends. The goal here to be able to easily send files between you and your second player friend without complications. To achieve this, you need to separate all of YOUR saves, tray, and Mods files away from the multiplayer saves, tray, and Mods files.

Separating "Tray" Files
This is basically the same process as the one above.

Separating "Mods" Folders
The process is similar to the last two, but is slightly different. After determining all of the mods your sim/s are wearing or using, you should create a new "Mods" folder so that you have the LEAST amount of mods in your gameplay as possible. Simply rename your "Mods" folder to Mods_
- By doing this, you are preventing the game from reading this folder and its content as mods. Now make a new folder and name it "Mods", then copy and paste the "Resource.cfg" file into the new mods folder.
Now you have a completely clear mods folder that you can place the mods that both players are using to play the game, by copying and pasting their folders into the new "Mods" folder. (If you used the "Tray Importer" app to export sims with CC/mods). If not, copy & paste each file needed into the new mods folder.

Mods & How to Play The Multiplayer Mod With Them
The biggest issue with playing with mods in multiplayer is the possibility that they could break and/or the other player won't see them. So, the goal is to use the least amount of mods possible when using the multiplayer mod, which is why I made it a point to keep them separated from the game. So, I recommend that all of the mods that you don't intend on using are avoided.
To play with mods, both you & the other player need to have the exact same mods in-game. I made a set of folders to help organize your multiplayer families and their required files, such as tray, saves, and mods. You can get them HERE. This way, you can keep track of both players' files and you guys can keep them updated so you can send them back and forth to each other easily. Another easy way to get your sims and content in the same game is to use Tray Importer, which can locate sims and lots in your library, and export them along with the CC they were made with. You can read about that HERE.
Sharing Tray, Mods, & Saves Files
Personally, I like to use SimFileShare, because it is completely safe, free, and has unlimited storage space. It's simple to archive your "Multiplayer Backup Folder," upload it the simfileshare, and share the download link in a chat somewhere, like Facebook or discord. Now, all that's left is to put files in their designated areas. The host will need to save the game after playing and send that save file to the second player so he/she can continue playing where they left off the next time.
Creating Folders For Each Multiplayer Family
Inside the folder that I provided, there is folders for multiple families, which you can expand on. This is important because you don't want any files to get mixed up with each other, or else you will be confused when a problem occurs, you will possibly have to start an entirely new family with entirely new files ALL OVER AGAIN.
Good Luck & Happy Simming!
